How To Create Nandroid Back Up On Motorola Droid X

Nandroid backup is most critical process prior to installing and flashing new ROMs on the Android phone. Nandroid backs up your settings before an installation and it can be easily recovered if anything goes wrong.   Here is a step by step guide on creating a full Nandroid backup on your Motorola Droid X.

Step 1: Root Motorola Droid X.

Step 2: Now reboot your phone in normal mode and download Koush’s Droid X Bootstrap from Android Market.

Step 3: Once downloaded, launch bootstrap and tap on Bootstrap Recovery.

Step 4: If you get the success pop-up, then prss Reboot Recovery to boot into Clockwork recovery.

Step 5: Once the phone boots in recovery, scroll down to backup, and restore using volume keys and press the camera button to select.

Step 6: Now select the first option Backup and wait for the process to finish.

Step 7: Once completed, go back to recovery and follow onscreen instructions to reboot the system into normal mode.

Viola! You’ve successfully created a full fledge system backup. If anything goes wrong while you are experimenting simply boot into recovery and follow the same instructions to restore from Nandroid backup.
