How can I quickly check the application that I recently used on HTC Desire

To check the application you've used recently, please long press HOME on the Home screen, a box displays and prompts you to choose 6 applications that you've used recently.

There are 2 ways to setup a ring tone for incoming calls.

1. Press MENU on the Home screen, then tap Settings > Sound & display > Phone ringtone. Tap the ring tone you want to use on the list, and then tap OK.


2. You can also use MP3 as a ring tone. To setup MP3 as your ringtone, please use the micro USB cable to connect the phone to a USB port on your computer. The Connect to PC dialog box displays and prompts you to choose Disk drive > Done. Your phone’s SD card is mounted as a drive on your computer. You can now copy MP3s to the SD card.

After you have finished copying, open the notifications panel (by touching and then dragging the status bar down) on your device, then in the Notifications panel, touch Charge only.

Please press All programs > Music > tap the music you want to share (the music will start playing) > press MENU > Set as ringtone. You can set the MP3 as a Phone ringtone, Contact ringtone or you can select Trim the ringtone.

How do I set a ring tone for incoming calls for HTC Desire

Adding a POP3/IMAP email account

1. From the Home screen, tap > Mail.


2. Do one of the following:
   
   
   
   • If this is your first time to add an email account in Mail, tap Other (POP3/IMAP) on the Choose a mail provider screen.
   
   
   • If you have already added an email account in Mail, tap at the top of the screen, and then tap New account.
   
   
   
   


3. If the Choose a mail provider screen is displayed, tap Other (POP3/IMAP).


4. Enter the email address and password for the email account, and then tap Next.


5. If the account type you want to set up is not in the phone database, you will be asked to enter more details.


6. Enter the account name and your name, and then tap Finish setup.
