How To: Improve Your HTC EVO 4G Battery Life

Battery life of HTC EVO 4G sucks, especially, when using all its capabilities like video streaming, gaming, and WEB browsing. With this guide you can learn how to improve your phone’s battery life, and limit the phone charging requirements two or three times per week, and even eliminate some drawbacks as well.

The procedure requires the installation of widgets and applications that will disable a few important battery-killing features.

Instructions:

Step 1: Install Widgets to home screen Power Control Android; settings, 4G; settings: Hotspot.

 Step 2: Install free Android market applications Advanced Task Killer; Spare Parts; K-9 Mail.

Step 3: Upon installing the application> Run Advanced Task Killer>Deselect all your choicest apps like voice dialer, voice search, Google voice, Calendar, K-9 Mail, Gmail, etc.

Step 4: Advanced Task Killer, disables the selected applications, but it will put a notification up at each boot and remember your selections. Thus, it will be easy to redo the choices you made.

Step 5:  Switch off EVO 4G and hotspot on the main page with the installed widgets.

Step 6: Adjust the screen brightness to low or medium using the widget. It will disable the auto brightness option.

Step 7:  Go to Settings> Wireless and Networks>Wi-Fi Settings / Advanced / Wi-Fi sleep policy; Select NEVER.

Remember to fully recharge the battery at least once, when its completely drained.
