We’ve just reported that Android 2.2 has been over-the-air updated to the Sprint Epic 4G. Edit: This update was just for beta testers and may be OTA’d to others later. Until now, users not receiving the update yet have been out of luck. Below, we’ve uploaded an update.zip to allow you to install Android 2.2.1 Froyo on your Epic 4G. Go ahead and push the file to your internal SD card. From there you can flash the file in recovery mode.
For best results, flash clean to DI18 before upgrading to DK28 Froyo.
