How to turn off Sense UI on HTC EVO 4G

We think that the Sense UI from HTC is really slick. Not necessarily better than stock Android (2.1, at least), but every bit as appealing. Some folks prefer the standard look of Eclair, however, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.
For you Android purists out there, there's good news accompanying the arrival of the HTC EVO 4G. The device makes it simple as can be to turn off the Sense module and run stock Eclair on the biggest, brightest screen available today.
HTC EVO 4G
Here's how you can shut down Sense on your HTC EVO 4G.
    1. Hit Menu and select Settings
    2. Scroll down, and select Applications
    3. Select Manage Applications
    4. Scroll all the way down and select HTC Sense
    5. Scroll to the Launch by default section and tap the Clear Defaultsbutton
    6. Directly below in the Controls section, tap the Force Stop button, and press OK
You have now disabled the Sense UI overlay. It's still there, just not running.
    7. Press the Home button and select Launcher (If you want to keep it this way for a while, check the box to set this as the default option)
And that's it! You should now have the standard, stock homescreen that is Android 2.1 Eclair.
